Discovering Nature, Saddles and Solitude in an Old Abandoned Tennessee Farm
Butterfly Hollow Farm
The Path Leading Us Here
The Leap

We closed our eyes, held hands and made the leap..... put our home in Kingston Springs on the market and were able to sell it without a realtor within a month. We used our profits plus our savings and became the proud caretakers of Butterfly Hollow.

We are both only working part-time now and are renovating the house and restoring the farm using mostly our own labor and on a cash method. We are slowly working towards generating our financial needs from our land through our gardens, timber, Beefalo, horses and hopefully by sharing this beautiful place and wonderful experience with our friends.

It's all still experimental. Who knows what tomorrow may bring. Every day is an adventure. Today it feels right. We're so glad we made the life changes as well as refined our dreams to something within reach. Though it's been the hardest work we’ve ever physically done and living on less is often a challenge.....I wouldn't have lived today any other way.

It stimulated as a vision, became focused in our dreams, and blossomed into a plan. We refined it, believed in it, wrote it down, and eventually what was once just a glimmering vision grew into our own reality.
